The Rector Major is now a Cardinal
(via ANS) Vatican City, Vatican - September 2023 - On the morning of Saturday 30 September, during the Ordinary Public Consistory, Pope Francis created the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime a cardinal, assigning him the Diaconate of Our Lady Help of Christians in Via Tuscolana. It was a day of joy and emotion for the entire Salesian Family, and there were many messages of good wishes and support for the new Cardinal. The motto he chose is “Sufficit tibi gratia mea” (My grace is sufficient for you).
