EPC Celebrates Ash Wednesday 2024

February 14, 2024—One with all Catholic faithful, DBTC marked the beginning of Lent with an EPC Mass on Ash Wednesday held at the Gesù Adolescente Gymnasium. It was a timely reminder of the significance of the Lenten season.

Fr. Glenn Joseph Protacio, SDB, VP for Pastoral Affairs and Student Services, presided over the celebration with other Salesian priests concelebrating. In his homily, Fr. Protacio talked about the two celebrations of the day, Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day. He challenged each member of the EPC to visit the Mary Help of Christians Chapel and offer a short prayer as an act of sacrifice during this season of lent. He also reminded the community about the significance of the celebration, "This Ash Wednesday, may the imposition of the ashes on our foreheads make us remember our mortality and heed the call to repentance.”
