A Fitting Thanks for our Salesian Educators

In a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of educators worldwide, the Basic Education Sector (BES) celebrated World Teachers Day with the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist on October 5, 2023, at the Gesù Adolscente Gymnasium. The event, attended by BES faculty members and Bosconians, aimed to recognize the unwavering dedication of teachers and their pivotal role in shaping the future.

Fr. Kim Simbulan, SDB, stood as the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. In his poignant homily, he underscored the significance of this day and the profound impact teachers have on the lives of their students. Fr. Kim shared, "Teaching is the noblest profession. In the footsteps of Jesus, who was a Teacher, a Rabbi, and a Master, we must appreciate our teachers as they have dedicated their lives for us."

As the attendees reflected on these words, they were reminded of the selfless commitment exhibited by Sale who often go above and beyond to nurture the minds and hearts of their students. The celebration extended beyond the confines of the gymnasium, as the mass was dedicated to not only Salesian educators but to all teachers across the globe.

Happy World Teachers Day! Today, we honor and thank educators for their tireless efforts in shaping the world, one student at a time.
