MANDALUYONG—Over 600 students have been recognized for their efforts in academics at the annual Recognition Rites of Don Bosco Technical College.
Led by a march of the students into the gymnasium, the ceremonies were headed by an invocation led by select students, with the blessing of the awards by Fr. Abel De Ocampo, Jr., and the national anthem led by the Boy Scouts. A breadth of 362 students were present at the Grade School ceremony, while the High School ceremony held 241 students at its capacity.
The former was started by a talk led by Principal Dr. Jesusa Bolutano, inspiring the students on how to build one’s personal character. Later, the High School students were addressed by SHS Student Council President Liam Ocampo about moving forward in their academic journey.
As the formalities were over, lines of awardees queued up to have their moment on stage. “Moving and Growing Together, Inspiring Hope for the New Philippines”, the official tagline of the ceremonies, signified these Bosconians’ growth and triumph in their academic and spiritual lives.
