Carlistas Coming Home
October 18, 2023: Don Bosco Mandaluyong welcomed representatives from the San Carlos Seminary Alumni Association, who brought with them a letter of request and coordinated with the administration to finalize the details of their upcoming Alumni Homecoming. They have selected DBTC Mandaluyong as one of the venues for their Alumni Homecoming, aiming to celebrate the rich heritage and history of San Carlos Seminary. The theme for their 91st Alumni Homecoming is "Banal na Pangarap, Bayani sa Sikap."
It's worth noting that the Old Building at DBTC Mandaluyong served as the initial campus of San Carlos Seminary before its relocation to Makati City, where it has stood for the past 70 years.
Fr. Ronilo Javines, SDB, the Rector of DBTC, extended a warm welcome to the seminarians from San Carlos Seminary responsible for organizing the event. The organizing team includes Joshua Francis Garcia, Marion Brian Maquiraya, Joniel Plana, Joseph Paolo Vi, and Jerwin Regala. They also had a meeting with Fr. Marc Will Lim, SDB, VP for Administration, to discuss their plans and requirements.
This event not only strengthens the significance of DB Mandaluyong but also revives its identity as a nurturing ground for vocations, commemorating the footsteps of saints and heroes who once walked these hallowed grounds.
