Railway Technology Course (RTC)

The Railway Technology Course (RTC) concentrates on the importance of the basic principles of railway systems. The program provides training on safety in railway, installation, maintenance and repair of railway track and rolling stock. The program will likewise provide the students basic knowledge and skills in electropneumatics and benchwork.

❓ Requirements for taking the entrance exam and enrolment

Application Requirements:

  1. 17-30 years old Male or Female
  2. High School Graduate or Finished up to Grade 10 (4th year HS completers)
  3. Physically and Mentally Fit

For incoming freshmen:

  1. Original and Photocopy of High School Report Card
  2. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  3. Baptismal Certificate

For transferees:

  1. Original and Photocopy of Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
  2. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  3. Two (2) identical, recent Passport size colored pictures

Requirements for Enrolment

  1. Original Copy of High School Card duly signed by the Principal/Registrar
  2. National Achievement Test (for incoming freshmen only)
  3. Transfer Credential and Certified True Copy of Grades (for Transferees only)
  4. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
  5. Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate
  6. Medical Certificate
  7. X-ray Result
  8. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  9. ITR of Parents or Exemption
  10. Barangay Clearance

📖 Learning Objectives

The program aims to develop a railway technician has has good work and christian values, solid theoretical foundation and technical expertise in his chosen field. The technician should be able to identify and analyze the track condition and perform proper repair and maintenance to correct it.
